David Nourse, Broker-Associate - SELLING NAPLES SUNSHINE
David Nourse first came to Naples with his family on a vacation in the mid 1960’s. His father, who was stationed in Naples as a Naval Flyer in World War II, had always loved the area and purchased his families first condominium on Gulf Shore Boulevard in 1967. After many memorable winter vacations on the beaches of Naples, David knew that he would eventually be a Florida resident.
Having been brought up in the Columbus, Ohio area, David graduated from the Columbus Academy in the late 1970’s. David then attended Florida Southern College where he earned a degree in Business Management with a minor in Communications. These proved to be very valuable tools as he entered his professional career. David supported the continued success of his family’s automotive business for nearly 20 years. By the early 2000’s, the Nourse family decided it was time to reap the benefits of decades of hard work and transferred ownership of the family business. This proved to be the perfect opportunity for David to launch his dream career of supporting buyers in their search for a new home in southwest Florida.
David quickly realized that the two industries were very similar. David successfully transitioned from selling families their second most expensive purchase to their single most expensive – real estate. David has a natural talent for understanding people’s needs through empathetic listening. He also quickly understands the financial side of the equation and effectively manages multiple closing situations with precision.
Since commencing his Naples real estate career in 2006, David has been able to increase his market share of sales year after year. In the first half of 2014, David was able to top the $10,000,000 sales mark for the first time in a single year. Doing what is right for his customers has always been paramount. He appreciates his customers’ loyalty and understands that they are ultimately responsible for his sustainable success. In David’s words:
“I do my best to pay attention to my client’s needs. If I am working with a buyer, I listen carefully, determine what their home preferences are and then locate a home that they truly desire. Finding out what is important to them and what will work best for their families in the foreseeable future is the highest priority for me.
With sellers, I work to maximize the sale of their home in a straight forward, businesslike approach. I will gather all the pertinent information in order to help the sellers make an educated decision. Working one-on-one with potential buyers or their Realtor, it is all about effective communication, high integrity and professionalism.”
